Huge crowds enjoy Lambeth Country Show every year
Organised by Lambeth Council and returning for its 43 year in 2017 Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park boasts a unique line-up that celebrates the very best of the city and countryside.
An estimated 175,000 people attended the country show in July 2016.
Cllr Lib Peck, Lambeth Council leader, said: “I’m delighted that the Lambeth Country Show has been such a success this year. We have worked hard to keep it as a free entry event in the face of serious cuts to our budgets.
“That decision has been amply justified this weekend by the huge turnout, all the great feedback I’ve received and because of how much this event means to our whole community.”
With activities and events spread across 10 different areas, the show had something for everyone including sheep shows, owls, live reggae, a city farm, jerk chicken stalls, cycle safety, jousting, health checks, a fun fair, kids sports and so much more.
Cllr Peck said: “The sheer range of options at the country show speaks to the diversity and creativity of our community.
“It’s a real tribute to the council and our events team that it all came together in such a colourful and exciting celebration of Lambeth.”
